Born in 1966 in Mumbai, I have seen and experienced the transition from the black and white film era to digital photography. After getting a Commerce degree from Mumbai University, and briefly attending Govt. Law College, I pursued my passion for photography and decided to take it up as my profession. I worked in Dhahran for nine months, on assignments for Saudi Aramco, returned to Mumbai in 1990 and started commercial photography assignments for reputed national and international clients. An assignment to shoot imagery for the India page in John Deere's international calendar was a special one for me.
My first Solo art exhibition was at Mumbai's Jehangir Art Gallery in 2013. I had two more exhibitions at that gallery in 2016 and 2018, besides other locations at Pune, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata in India and Chappaqua NY and Art Expo 2017 in New York.
My works have been appreciated and bought by art lovers from India, USA, UK, Germany, The Nederlands, Luxembourg and Australia.
I like to shoot in a directional, soft light that adds a soothing feel to my photographs. I firmly believe that “Elements instrumental for a great shot - light, subject and composition rarely happen together. When they do, they need to be captured at the precise moment, else the magic disappears”.
My subjects include landscapes, nature, wildlife, festivals, cityscapes, cloudscapes and abstracts.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
